A delegation of the Union of Madrasahs met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad 

Islamabad, January 04, 2023 (PPI-OT):A delegation of the Union of Madrasahs met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad. The delegation apprised the Prime Minister about the problems faced by the Madrasahs. The Prime Minister assured the managers of the madrasas that the government will give them more autonomy in the management of these madrasas and not only make their registration process easier but also provide education in these madrasas according to the modern requirements. All types of assistance will be provided.

The Prime Minister said on this occasion that meeting with the delegation of Jaid Ulama is a source of joy and honour for him. The Prime Minister said that the services of all the scholars for religious education in the country are commendable. Forty to five million students of the country are benefiting from free religious education in religious madrasas, in which memorization of the Holy Quran is also done. The Prime Minister further said that madrasas have always protected the interests of Pakistan.

In the meeting, President Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Fazlur Rahman, Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, Maulana Muhammad Hanif Jalandhri, Maulana Mufti Munibur Rahman, Sahibzada Abdul Mustafa Hazarvi, Senator Professor Sajid Mir, Maulana Abdul Malik, Maulana Afzal Haideri, Maulana Abdul Kabir Azad and Maulana Fazal Rahim Ashrafi. Apart from other learned scholars, Federal Ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain, Maryam Aurangzeb, Rana Sanaullah Khan, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Special Assistant Syed Fahad Hussain and relevant senior officials participated.
