Lahore: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Mohammad Yousuf announced that 90,000 pilgrims will undertake the Hajj pilgrimage this year under the government’s scheme, with the first flight scheduled for April 28.
During a press conference in Lahore, the minister highlighted those comprehensive arrangements have been put in place for the pilgrims, following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Additionally, Yousuf mentioned that the Saudi Government has also completed necessary preparations for the pilgrimage.
The minister noted that training programs for the pilgrims are currently being conducted at Punjab University, emphasizing his personal oversight of the arrangements to ensure a smooth process.
In a broader context, Sardar Mohammad Yousuf expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister and his team for their efforts in reducing electricity prices and achieving a decrease in inflation to below 10 percent.
