Islamabad, Following the instructions of the Inspector General of Police, a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee was convened at the Central Police Office.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the committee, chaired by DIG Headquarters Dr. Syed Mushtaq Tanveer and attended by other senior officers, reviewed the service records of 100 Assistant Sub-Inspectors. The committee recommended promotions for 90 Assistant Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Sub-Inspector.
The promotions, pending approval from IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, will soon be formalized through official notifications. The IG emphasized that promotion is a right of all officers and announced that he will personally preside over the ranking ceremony, to which families of the officers will be invited. The commitment to the welfare of the police force was reaffirmed with further promotions of other ranks also noted, including 48 sub-inspectors to inspectors and 48 constables to head constables.
