Kotli, August 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):A function regarding observance of August 5 as Yaum-e-Istehsal (Day of Exploitation) was held at office of the Deputy Commissioner in Kotli. Deputy Commissioner, Amjad Ali Mughal presided over the function.
Addressing the function, Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Peace Foundation, Mahmood Akhtar Qureshi Advocate said that today August 5, is black day for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the people of Pakistan are observing it as Yaum-e-Istehsal.
He condemned the 5th August 2019 moves of the Modi-led fascist Indian government, adding that the Modi regime repealed special status of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, divided it into two union territories and imposed military siege in IIOJK. He said that the moves were also against the United Nations resolutions and the international law.
Mahmood Akhtar Qureshi appealed to the United Nations and other global rights bodies to put pressure on India to stop state terrorism in IIOJK and settle the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the UN relevant resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The Hurriyat leader said that Indian troops and police personnel are continuing serious human rights and war crimes in the territory and the world must stop it. Besides the SSP of Kotli, Raja Akmal Khan, district officers, leaders and activists of political parties, members of civil society and government employees participated in the function.
