3 Indian Navy officers killed in Uttarakhand avalanche

New Delhi, October 03, 2021 (PPI-OT): Three Indian Navy officers and a sailor were found dead in an avalanche incident in Indian state, Uttarakhand. A team of 10 Indian Navy personnel was scheduled to summit the 7,120-metre high Mount Trishul on Friday when an avalanche hit them near Mount Trishul in the state.

The bodies of four were retrieved while a Navy officer and a mountain guide /a Sherpaare are still missing. The deceased Indian Navy personnel are Lt Commander Rajnikant Yadav, Lt Commander Yogesh Tiwari, Lt Commander Anant Kukreti and sailor Hari Om, Indian officials said.
