Srinagar, A 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck Leh, Ladakh in the Indian illegally occupied region of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. The tremors, while moderate, were significant enough to be felt by residents in the area.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the earthquake occurred early in the morning. The India’s National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported that the quake had a depth of 5 km. This shallow depth potentially amplified the sensation of the tremors felt on the surface.
