29 Arrested in Islamabad Police Crackdown: Drugs and Weapons Seized

Islamabad: In a concerted effort to combat criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have arrested 29 individuals suspected of various offenses across the city. The arrests were made by teams from the Kohsar, Secretariat, Margalla, Karachi Company, Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, and Khanna police stations.

During the operations, police recovered a significant cache of illegal items, including 3,918 grams of heroin, 2,280 grams of hashish, 60 bottles of liquor, and seven pistols along with ammunition. Authorities have registered cases against the detained suspects and have commenced further investigations.

The crackdown follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of a broader strategy to maintain peace and order in the federal capital. The Islamabad Police reiterated their commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents, emphasizing that no disruptive elements will be tolerated.

Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the police through their local station or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” Police officials highlighted the importance of public cooperation in their ongoing efforts to eliminate crime from society.
