24 Police Officers Promoted to Inspector Rank in Ceremony

Lahore: A ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to honor the promotion of 24 officers to the rank of Inspector, following the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. The event was notably dedicated to the blind daughters of Inspector Ahmad Bakhsh, one of the promoted officers.

According to a statement by Punjab Police, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, along with senior officers and under-training ASPs, awarded the new ranks to the promoted inspectors. The ceremony also included a consultation session with the under-training ASPs of the 51st Common, who discussed policing challenges in both rural and urban settings with the newly promoted inspectors.

Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of providing fearless security and selfless service to the citizens of Pakistan. He also highlighted the substantial number of promotions, over 26,000, that have been implemented across various departments, including the Counter-Terrorism Department, Cyber Crime Unit, and Safe Cities.

The event saw attendance from the families of the promoted officers, including parents and children, who expressed their gratitude. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, along with other senior officials, participated in the proceedings, marking a significant milestone in the professional journey of these officers.
