200 Pandit teachers, non-Kashmiri staff shifted to safer locations in IIOJK 

Srinagar, June 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the administration has transferred around 200 Kashmiri Pandit teachers from vulnerable areas to “safer locations” in Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir Valley. An official from Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) told media men that majority of these teachers has been posted in Srinagar.

The Pandit teachers, who have been recruited under the Indian Prime Minister’s special employment package have been posted in high security zone and Indian army cantonment areas such as Badamibagh, Batwara and Athwajan, Jawahar Nagar, Rajbagh and Barzulla in Srinagar, he said.

“Other outsider including migrant and non-Kashmiri staff will also be posted in secure areas,” the official said, wishing not to be named. He said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of the Kashmiri Pandit and other non-Kashmiri employees. Earlier, the administration directed all the departments to shift the Kashmiri Pandit employees, working in interiors of the Kashmir Valley’s 10 districts, to the more secure district headquarters.
