160 Pakistani Zaireen stranded in Syria will travel to Pakistan on Monday: Foreign Office 

Islamabad, June 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):160 Pakistani Zaireen, stranded due to suspension of flight operations in Syria, are scheduled to travel to Pakistan by PIA through Aleppo Airport on Monday. Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said as per the instructions of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari our embassy in Syria is in contact with all three hundred Pakistani Zaireen stranded in Syria. He said arrangements for repatriation of all have been completed. He said our embassy and PIA are in close coordination.

He said our embassy is arranging transportation of the passengers from Damascus to Aleppo. Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said remaining 140 Zaireen will be travelling to Iraq on their own. Earlier, Israeli forces resorted to bombardment at the Syrian capital’s airport and destroyed runways.
