Islamabad: In a robust crackdown aimed at enhancing public safety, Islamabad Police have successfully arrested 13 individuals across the federal capital, recovering significant quantities of drugs and weapons in the process.
The operation, which involved multiple police stations including Golra, Sabzi Mandi, Noon, Humak, Lohibher, and Phulgran, led to the apprehension of nine suspects. Authorities seized 1,821 grams of hashish, 433 grams of ice, and two pistols with ammunition from those detained. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects, with investigations currently underway.
In addition to these arrests, a targeted campaign focusing on absconders and proclaimed offenders resulted in the capture of four more criminals.
Muhammad Usman Butt, SSP Operation/Investigation, emphasized the police force’s dedication to safeguarding the lives and property of Islamabad’s residents. He reiterated that maintaining peace remains the top priority for the police department.
Butt also encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities through local police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” underscoring the importance of community cooperation in efforts to combat crime and ensure a secure environment for all residents.
