Islamabad, July 12, 2021 (PPI-OT):Islamabad police have arrested 12 outlaws and recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said. Following directions of SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer, the police launched a crackdown against criminals at different localities of the district.
During the crackdown, Kohsar police arrested four accused namely Junaid, Ishtaiq, Irfan and Shafique and recovered 425 gram hashish, 35 litres alcohol and six wine bottles recovered fom their possession.
Secretariat police arrested two accused Tasawar Abbas and Sohail and recovered 245 gram hashish and five wine bottles from their possession.
Khanna police arrested accused Muhammad Shyyar and recovered 210 gram hashish from him. Sabzi Mandi police arrested accused Waqas and recovered one 9mm pistol from him. Sahahzad Town police arrested accused Rasool Rahman and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Ramna police arrested accused Muhammad Yaseen and recovered 1.135 kilogram heroine from him. Golra police arrested accused Sarmad and recovered 110 gram hashish from him.
Banigala police arrested accused Naeem and recovered 350 gram hashish.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. During a special crackdown eight professional beggars including a handler were aslo arrested from various areas of the city. DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmad Kausar and SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer have appreciated Police performance. They also sought cooperation of citizens for effective policing measures in the city.
