Islamabad, January 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):National Assembly met in Islamabad this afternoon with Speaker Asad Qaiser in the chair. Responding to a Calling Attention Notice on the floor of the House, Parliamentary Secretary of Commerce Aliya Hamza said twelve million Urea bags have been provided to farmers during the current month to fulfill their needs of fertilizers.
She said Pakistan has produced a record Urea since 2009 and its sale has increased by five percent. Aliya Hamza further said that price of Urea in Pakistan is six times lower in comparison with the international market. Six bills were introduced in the National Assembly on Tuesday.
“The Islamabad Water Conservation Bill, 2022”, “The Acid and Burn Crime Bill, 2022”, “The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2022] (Amendment in Article-24-A)”, “[The Indecent Advertisement Prohibition (Amendment) Bill, 2022”, “The ICT Tuberculosis (Notification) Bill, 2022” and “The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2022”. The Chair referred the bills to the standing committee concerned. The House will now meet again tomorrow at 4 p.m.
