12 BJP leaders, workers killed in IIOJK in last 2 years

Srinagar, August 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, twelve BJP leaders and workers have been killed by unidentified gunmen in the Kashmir Valley in last two year, officials said. The newest among the victim was the party worker Javid Ahmad Dar who was killed inside his residence in Brazloo Jageer area of Kulgam on Tuesday.

On August 09, BJP Sarpanch Ghulam Rasool Dar of Redwani Kulgam and his wife Jawaira Bano, panch from same party and area, were shot dead inside a rented accommodation in old Eidgah area of Islamabad town. Prior to the husband-wife duo, BJP worker Rakesh Pandita was killed in Tral area of Pulwama district on June 2.

Two BJP councilors, Shamas-ud-din Peer and Riyaz Ahmad Peer, were killed near Municipal Office in Sopore town on March 29, this year, a senior police officer said. Last year on July 08, three BJP leaders and workers, Sheikh Waseem Bari, his brother Sheikh Umer Bari and their father Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, were killed at Mulimabad in Bandipora when they were at their shop opposite police station.

On August 06, 2020, the BJP worker, Sajad Ahmad Khanday, was killed at Vessau in Kulgam. On August 09, 2020, BJP leader Abdul Hamid Najar, was killed near his residence at Ompora Budgam while another worker of the saffron party, Fida Hussain Najar, was shot dead at Y K Pora on 29 October 2020.
