Pakistan Army Chief Vows to Combat Terrorism Together with Nation


Rawalpindi: The Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, affirmed the dedication of the Armed Forces of Pakistan to eradicating terrorism, emphasizing unity and national support as key components in the battle against extremism. He spoke to students in Rawalpindi, underscoring the collective spirit and commitment of both the military and the youth in defending the nation.



According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Munir highlighted the unwavering unity with which the Pakistani forces operate. He noted that the support from the nation, especially the youth, bolsters the resolve of the military in its efforts to counter terrorism. The Army Chief reassured that the future of the country remains secure in the hands of the upcoming generation.



In his address, General Munir condemned the Khwarij terrorists, distancing their actions from religious teachings and attributing their motives to chaos creation. He referenced religious texts to emphasize the necessity of confronting these elements unless they show genuine repentance and align with the state.



General Munir further addressed the respect Islam accords to women, reinforcing that the nation will not allow any group to undermine this principle. He firmly stated that the Pakistan Army stands against any perverted groups, specifically naming Fitna-al-Khawarij, seeking to impose their values on the country.
