Multan: Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, has called on all schools of thought to set aside their differences and unite against what he describes as Indian aggression. Speaking at a luncheon event in Multan, he addressed the need for national solidarity.
Maulana Azad, during his address at the event hosted by Syed Zahoor Hussain Shah Shamsi of Anjuman-e-Azadari Suraj Miani, labeled the recent Pahalgam incident as a fabricated drama staged by India. He emphasized that the nation, comprising 240 million people under military leadership, will respond appropriately to such hostility.
In his remarks, Maulana Azad did not hold back in his condemnation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referring to him as the “butcher of Gujarat Muslims.” He accused the Modi regime of supporting terrorism within Pakistan and urged the Shia and Sunni communities to rally behind the Pakistan Army for the protection of national interests.
Turning his attention to the situation in Gaza, Maulana Azad commented that Israel was experiencing divine retribution, noting widespread protests and public gatherings in Pakistan as a show of solidarity with the people of Gaza. He highlighted Pakistan’s active role in supporting Palestine.
To underscore the gravity of the situation, Maulana Azad mentioned that a parliamentary session has been convened to discuss issues of national security.
The gathering was attended by notable figures, including members of the Provincial Peace Committee and various leaders from the Shia community.
