Raipur: In a shocking development, Aadesh Soni, a local Hindutva leader in Chhattisgarh, has called for violence against Christians in several villages, urging Hindus to attack and kill them, accusing them of conversion efforts.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Aadesh Soni, described as a life coach and social media influencer, posted on social media, outlining a violent plan against Christians. He called for the targeting of Christian families and their leaders, advocating for their faith to be erased from the region. Soni urged his followers to gather 50,000 people for an attack on March 1, 2025.
A video featuring Soni has gone viral, in which he demands the public humiliation and killing of Christian men, women, and children. Soni claimed to have the support of the administration, stating, “I have got the support of the administration, this is enough for me.”
Soni has gained notoriety for his rhetoric against the Christian community, receiving backing from right-wing groups and figures like Saraswati. Arun Pannalal, president of the Chhattisgarh Christian Forum, noted, “Aadesh Soni is supported by bloodthirsty right-wing groups, and the group he represents also has the backing of figures like Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati.”
In response, the Nagaland Baptist Church Council has written to Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, expressing deep concern and calling for immediate action to prevent the planned violence.
Vishal Mangalwadi, a Christian social reformer, has also appealed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging intervention to prevent the anti-Christian violence.
