Gujjar leader Mian Bashir passes away in IIOJK

Srinagar, August 15, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, veteran Gujjar leader Mian Bashir Ahmed passed away after a protracted illness. Mian Bashir Ahmed, 98, breathed his last at his native village Wangat Kangan in Ganderbal district late on Saturday, family sources said.

 

Mian Bashir was son of top Gujjar leader and saint, Mian Nizamuddin Larvi and father of NC leader, Mian Altaf Ahmad. Mian Bashir Ahmed Larvi was born in November 1923. He was a minister in Sheikh Abdullah’s cabinet. Later, he left politics and started working for Islamic Sufi tradition and to help downtrodden people.
