London: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with UK Minister of State for South Asia Hamish Falconer to discuss recent Indian attacks on Pakistani civilians. Aurangzeb reported that 26 civilians, including women and children, were killed, with 46 others injured in what he described as unprovoked aggression by India.
Aurangzeb emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to defending its territorial sovereignty and responding effectively to any Indian aggression. He highlighted Pakistan’s proposals for an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident, which he claimed India has ignored.
The Finance Minister also stressed the need for a fair resolution to the Jammu and Kashmir issue to ensure peace in South Asia.
Falconer expressed condolences for the loss of civilian lives and expressed hope that tensions in the region could be resolved through dialogue.
